The zoom level of these time scales can be\u00a0<strong><a title=\"Industry Planning \u2013 Customizable display modes\" href=\"https:\/\/www.directplanning.com\/en\/industry-planning\/industry-planning-features\/industry-planning-customizable-display-modes\/\">customized<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Mouse-scrolling and keyboard shortcuts<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To quickly move within the schedule, you would often scroll using the\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: normal;\">mouse<\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">\u00a0<\/span>wheel and the many keyboard shortcuts. Here are a few examples of keyboard shortcuts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to the current date.<\/li>\n<li>Browse the jobs of current range: first, last, previous or next.<\/li>\n<li>Go to selected job.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Global browsing<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Global browsing displays a <strong>miniature version of the schedule<\/strong>. Clicking in this window enables quick access to a given date.<\/p>\n<h3>Locating jobs<\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>Locator<\/strong> function allows you to <strong>find jobs quickly<\/strong>. Searching relies on date or status criteria, or on advanced criteria leveraging your <strong>custom data<\/strong> (e.g. to find a job based on the tools that are used).<br \/>\nYou can also <strong>retrieve search criteria<\/strong> by selecting a job, in order to get a list of similar jobs (e.g. to find all the jobs whose customer is the same as for the selected job).<br \/>\n<strong>Multiple search criteria can be combined<\/strong> to refine results.<\/p>\n<h3>Highlighting jobs<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Job highlighting is a very convenient feature of <strong>Direct Planning Industry<\/strong>. It lets you visually highlight a set of jobs that meet a given criterion in the schedule. Jobs that don&#8217;t meet this criterion are grayed out.<\/p>\n<p>A few examples:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jobs of the same customer, or the same order<\/li>\n<li>Jobs of the same range (interlinked)<\/li>\n<li>Jobs with alert, delayed jobs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is then possible to very <strong>quickly browse among the highlighted jobs<\/strong>. Ideal for browsing the <strong>jobs of a range<\/strong>\u00a0or rapidly scrolling through the <strong>delayed jobs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Filtering jobs<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the same spirit as the highlighting that grays out jobs not meeting a criterion, the &#8220;<strong>Filter<\/strong>&#8221; feature enables removing them from the current display. Thus, only the jobs meeting the selected criterion remain on screen.<\/p>\n<h3>Displaying the current route<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The<strong> Current route <\/strong>function enables you to instantly retrieve the route from a selected job.<br \/>\nA window will display the <strong>list of other jobs in the route<\/strong>. For example, it takes one click to reschedule a job or a range in 24 hours, in one week or on a given date.<\/p>\n<h3>Changing machine<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For a given operation, <strong>Direct Planning Industry<\/strong>\u00a0manages the notion of\u00a0<a title=\"Industry Planning \u2013 Characteristics of your machines\" href=\"https:\/\/www.directplanning.com\/en\/industry-planning\/industry-planning-features\/industry-planning-characteristics-of-your-machines\/\"><strong>compatible machine<\/strong><\/a>. When moving a job onto a compatible machine, the software is able to automatically <strong>recalculate<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>setting and running times\u00a0<\/strong>under the same technical conditions.<\/p>\n<h3>Subdividing a job<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The software features job subdivision, which lets you <strong>postpone<\/strong>\u00a0the manufacturing of a certain amount of product, or semi-finished product.
